The family, the main character of which is Marcela Paniak, is not like any others. Although there are quite ordinary portrait of related people, they all constitute the author’s contemporary point of view. By using various ways of working with photography, she impersonates all characters herself in order to pay attention to the role of family photography that has changed over the centuries – especially in the context of truth and falsity while presenting oneself. Both of these aspects are present throughout the whole existence of photography. Even now, living in intensively virtual society that communicates mainly through images, it is really crucial what testifies to our individual and collective identity.
